    Default Xingu's OLD Fish Room

When I was heavy into cichlids, this is where I kept them. The nice thing about this room was that all the filtration was provided by air powered sponge filters.

Two small linear pumps ran all the sponge filters for the room. Each tank (except for the smaller ones) had at least 2 sponges in them.
I also heated the room (not the tanks) with a small room heater.

I agree! Wow that is awesome! Did you sell your fish to pet stores?

    That is an amazing setup!

Thanks. Yes, I sold to stores and to other hobbyists across the country. Shipping fish was nerve wracking though.
I don't think I will ever get back into that deep again, but it sure was fun.

I was trying to figure out what the PVC was being used for. Is that a manifold to supply air to the sponge filters?

That is an amazing fish room! And, you are a genius to heat the room! Currently, I have nine Betta tanks that will need to be heated for the winter. Thank you for posting your photos and sharing your ideas. Your heated room is the solution that I needed. My Bettas and I thank you!
