    a. the ability to produce many clutches of eggs.

    b. eight arms.

    c. 8 arms and two tentacles.

    d. a small internal shell.

    The answer is b. The name gives away the answer. Octopoda mean eight arms, "octa" - eight, and "poda" - arms. Squid, Order Teuthoidea, have 10 arms, two of which are very long and are usually termed tentacles. The molluscan shell has also become internal in squid (cuttlebone), and is absent in octopus. The female dies after her eggs hatch.
