On hold until after the BoD meeting this week. I have some thoughts that need to be voiced then and there before cards can be done.

I renewed my membership on Dec 05, 2009, via PayPal (I sent a little extra $ to cover the PayPal fee). Since then, I've had a lot going on and unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to attend any meetings that might have occurred.

Any chance of getting a membership card mailed to me? I emailed a request to the address on the SMMAS website (club.smmas@gmail.com) on July 30, but haven't heard back. I think I remember making the same request at the time of my renewal using PayPal.

Didn't we at least at one point have sponsors that asked to see one if we requested a club discount?

Recently the membership cards are just a sign that you are part of us. All of our current sponsors do not require the cards. Fishnub is correct about reef chief which is our primary. When you visit his store, tell him you are apart of SMMAS. He will give you a 15-20% discount.

Locally though, we don't have any sponsors. Petco is not allowed to sponsor, and Corner Critters will not give discounts. Also spoken with Roozens, since they are a regional distributor, they don't really give discounts. But then again nothing in there store is marked with prices as it is a who you know how good prices are.

Up in the Annapolis mall, we had a sponsor that did 10% off dry and 15% off wet, but they have closed.
